Imagine pursuing your love of music with a passion that equals 10,000 hours of solitary practice. Immersing yourself in the music you love and pursuing challenges to build your confidence and skills. Driven by dreams to be part of something bigger, you finally win a seat in the Orchestra.
This is the journey of musicians from all backgrounds across the UK who come together as ‘the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers.’
But their work has only just started. They are now at the heart of a diverse community, sharing a passion for music and an urgent mission to help their teenage peer group at a time of crisis for music education.
When you Take a Seat you play a vital part in giving a young musician the opportunity of a lifetime. Your musician will write to you sharing their experiences, and you will be able to see them rehearse and perform. You will be part of the NYO community and credited in our concert programmes and on our website.
But most importantly you will be a catalyst that enables a committed teenager to take up their place and be a beacon to every other young musician in the UK. They could not do this without you.
For a minimum annual donation of £1,200 your support contributes to enabling a musician to take their seat.
For an annual donation of £10,000 you will cover the full cost of their seat in ‘the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers.’
