Earlier this month, the entire NYO community came together, united by music and its power to change lives.

Last week, The National Youth Orchestra brought to life NYO Alive, together with conductor, Carlos Miguel Prieto, and soprano, Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha.

The Spring Residency has now drawn to a close, but we’re still feeling the heat from the blazing NYO Ignite performances at the Southbank Centre and Saffron Hall, with conductor Andrew Gourlay!

The NYO Odyssey tour is over and the reviews are in! NYO marked an astonishing start to the year with a celebration of orchestral music in London, Nottingham, Coventry, Liverpool and online.

On Saturday 6 August, NYO concluded the Open Up: Free Spirits tour with a bang at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, packed with a buzzing audience. This boundary-breaking performance, conducted by Andrew Gourlay, was so sensational that Hollywood legend Danny Elfman himself tweeted: ‘NYO was spectacular! So much energy in the house!!’
