Give a young person a free ticket this summer

It could be the experience that changes their life.

Could you provide a young person with a ticket to an NYO concert this summer, and help us to fill the concert halls to the rafters with teenagers?

Imagine your life without orchestral music in it; for celebrating the happy times or tackling the hard times. The days you need lifting up or soothing. Or to let your imagination soar.

Most young people will never get the chance to experience an orchestra live. Teenagers across the UK are locked out of this opportunity, as buying tickets is becoming harder for families to afford.

NYO is breaking down this barrier with Free for Teens. And we need to raise money for 2,500 free tickets for young people this year. Thousands of teenagers who will be able to feel the transformative power of live orchestral music.

You can play your part in opening up orchestral music for all teenagers with a donation of £18. You can provide a teenager with the experience of seeing their first great orchestra live this summer. An experience that could change their life.

The last concert we did at the Barbican began with the percussion players only on stage, at the back, and then the French horns walked on already playing to the front. I loved how it had choreography and was visually fun. We need more of that kind of thing if we want more of our generation to come and watch. It can get anyone engaged!
