NYO Professors
Professors for each instrument work with the Orchestra on the three residential courses each year. Drawn from the country's leading professional musicians and teachers they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to every section of the orchestra. They also play an important role alongside the Director in choosing the Orchestra at auditions each Autumn. As well as specialists in each instrument, the professors include teachers of performance and communications skills, composition and the Alexander Technique. Many are former members of the NYO. The following are Core NYO Profs but they may not be present at all NYO courses.
