| SUPPORTING
THE NYO The NYO relies on Individual Donors to support core activities and our Education and Outreach programme. Our Donors enjoy a close association with the Orchestra and are kept in regular contact so that they are the first to hear of new developments, successes and our future plans. There are a variety of ways that our Individual Donors support the NYO, and we constantly welcome new initiatives as to how you would like to help the Orchestra and develop a partnership with us.
Friends £30 NYO newsletters, advance notice of concerts, opportunity to attend rehearsals on concert days, special booking offers Silver Friend £100 All above, plus named credit in programmes, chance to attend NYO courses and meet the Orchestra Gold Friend £250 All above, plus invitation to annual NYO Composers’ Concert, invitation to special reception at BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall Platinum Friend £500 All of the above plus an exclusive invitation to the annual Leader’s Recital.
If you are planning either to draw up your Will, or to add a bequest to the NYO in your existing Will, a solicitor will give the best advice for the necessary legal procedures. Simply contact any Law practice and they will give you details of the right person to speak to. The advice that NYO is able to offer is about how your bequest may be used and the different types of bequest that we are able to accept. All charitable bequests are tax-free. We prefer to receive pecuniary and residuary bequests. The first is a set sum of money and the latter the remainder, or a proportion of the remainder, of your estate after debts and legacies have been paid. A bequest can easily be added, by your solicitor, to your existing Will as a gift to be left to The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, registered charity 290598, 32 Old School House, Britannia Road, Bristol BS15 8DB, in furtherance of its charitable objects.
As a registered charity, we encourage all our Donors to complete our Gift Aid Declaration Form, so that we can reclaim tax already paid on a gift, increasing your donation by a quarter.
