HOW DO I JOIN?
 

We are now looking for talented young players and composers to join the National Youth Orchestra as it prepares to embark on exciting new adventures in 2009. If you’d like to come and make sensational music with us, we’d love to hear from you.

To be eligible, you must be under 18 on 1 September 2008.

If you are an instrumentalist, you must play to a standard equivalent to Grade 8 distinction (ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall) although you do not have to have taken any exams. Click here to download the orchestral application form.

If you are a composer and would like the opportunity to write new music in dialogue with orchestral players and hear your ideas brought instantly to life, click here to download the composers’ application form.

The deadline for applications for the 2009 orchestra will be 8 July 2008.

Auditions are held in September and October at locations across the country and we are able to help with travel costs where necessary. There is no fee for auditioning.
